Warrior Legged Throwing Dummy & Heavy Bag Review

Awesome! I just received the Warrior throwing dummy/heavy bag today. I have seen several different training dummies over the years (my friend/training partner has a Bubba dummy), but the Warrior dummy is the first one I've seen that can be hung like a heavy bag, or used for throws, armbar drills, shoot-style takedowns, ground and pound, limb destructions, etc etc. The dummy is made of really thick material with reinforced stitching, and the hoops that he can be hung from are stitched from the top of the head clear down to the hips. I'm very impressed with how well this thing is made! When hanging like a heavy bag, the dummy's arms are in a pretty good position to simulate an actual opponent. The ends of the arms are balled like fists which is pretty realistic and good for training hand/limb destructions, and grabbing above the 'fist' gives a realistic grip point which feels just like grabbing a person's wrist for certain throws (one-arm hip throws, maki-komi, etc). I bought the 100 pound dummy; it says on the Amazon listing that it is 68" tall, but mine is marked (and measures) 72" tall. And it is DEFINATELY 100 pounds! A good session of throws with this guy will make for a great workout! These things aren't dirt cheap, but are worth the investment if you are into martial art training. I'm 40 years old now, and to be honest the benefit of a training dummy becomes more apparent with age...now my training partners and I can work some technique on each other for skill honing (because NO dummy is exactly like working against 'live' opponents), then go nuts on the dummy for repetition work. Ahhh. Call me wimpy, but taking hard repetitive throws for an hour seems to hurt a little more nowadays...so I'm very happy with this dummy and recommend it! A great aid for training and teaching!
And oh, my UPS man had a good laugh over this thing when he brought it.... "I don't even want to know, man....I don't even want to know" he said. LOL! So I demo'd a few throws and he seemed to think it was pretty cool.
