The reviewer that mentioned that this "comes with the hardware you need to hang it from a 2x4" may be describing what he got, but nothing like that was included in my kit - but I received an Everlast Heavy Bag Hanger a few days before my bag arrived so it worked out for me. But to be clear - buy the Everlast Heavy Bag Hanger if you want to hang it from a joist. It does come with a 6" chain with a swivel thingy on it so you could probably just bolt it into the side of a joist if you have some bolts and nuts of the appropriate size laying around.
The bag itself seems to be top-notch, although the internal sandbag was sloshed completely to one side, which made mine unusable out of the box. I had to take all the stuffing out, center the sandbag, and restuff the heavy bag before i could use it.
But whatever - the shipping on this was listed as $66.94 so it's pretty awesome to get the whole thing with free shipping for just $70.
