Heavy Bag Wall Mount Review

I bought this mount for a 100lb heavy bag with plans of bolting it to my concrete basement walls. When the mount arrived, the cross beams with mounting holes were not perpendicular to the center swivel pipe. The upper cross beam was limp on one side (angled downward) and also bend out of shape so that the back didn't mount flatly against the wall. Still, rather than returning it, I proceeded to mount it (as I am stubborn). There were exactly 8 bolts and anchors for the 8 holes. An extra one or two anchors would have been nice to have as the anchors were cheaply made and shattered easily. I had to go to Home Depot to get some extra anchors. Eventually I got the thing bolted tightly to the wall and hung the bag. Three 20 min sessions later, the top row of bolts came loose and the entire wall mount was leaning out of the wall. I thought I was going to get crushed. So I removed the 100lb bag, removed the bolts and brought the bolts to Home Depot. (2ND TRIP TO HOME DEPOT) They laughed at the hardware (You know something is bad when the Home Depot guys laugh at it). To make this long story short...I ended up buying NOT ONLY new anchors for the bolts issued to this mount, but also 4 extra six inch cross plates with real concrete bolts and anchors to put upright over the top cross beam. Since then the thing works fine. Looks very ugly with so many cross beams and bolts holding it up. Plan to spend an extra $15 - $20 to make this think work right if you are putting this into concrete. I would not recommend this wall mount to anyone. Even now I have to tighten the bolts after every 3rd workout.
