Item includes an additional six inches of chain above the swivel...which is not pictured. That's great for people hanging a heavy bag from the ceiling. However, when not requiring the use of that additional six inches (like a heavy bag stand) the only thing to do with it is let it hang on top of the chains holding the bag.
